Joe Beblavy is an animation and visual effects director based in Philadelphia, Pa who creates for musicians, record labels, live event spaces, brands and festivals. He specializes in creating vibrant animated canvases that are often mixed with live action footage.

He looks for the balance between the organic feel of 2D hand-drawn animation and the experimental, and sometimes psychedelic, nature of digital motion graphics. Some of his processes and techniques include 2d cel and vector animation, complex layering in After Effects, green-screen keying and compositing, and formatting for all aspect ratios and screen sizes.
